Overview

Nyungwe Forest is one of Africa’s most beautiful and untouched rainforests. Its trails wind through thick greenery, waterfalls, and valleys that feel like they belong in a dream. On this adventure, you will trek with expert guides in search of chimpanzees and other wildlife, including colobus monkeys and exotic birds.

The park is also famous for its canopy walk, a suspension bridge above the trees that offers a breathtaking view of the forest stretching for miles. Along the way, you’ll meet local communities and learn how Rwanda protects this amazing ecosystem. Itineraries
Day 1 – Arrival in Kigali

Arrive at Kigali International Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 2 – Kigali to Nyungwe Forest

Drive southwest to Nyungwe Forest. Check into your lodge. Afternoon guided walk to explore nearby trails and enjoy the peaceful forest.

Day 3 – Chimpanzee Trekking

Early morning trek to find and observe chimpanzees. Listen to their calls, watch them play, and take in the beauty of the rainforest. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 – Canopy Walk and Waterfall Hike

Walk the canopy suspension bridge, feeling the forest beneath your feet. Continue to nearby waterfalls and scenic trails. Afternoon free to relax at the lodge.

Day 5 – Return to Kigali & Departure

Drive back to Kigali. Stop at local markets if time allows. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
