On this 3-day safari, you’ll explore open plains, wetlands, and lakes while enjoying comfortable lodge accommodations. Itineraries
Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet your guide. Drive approximately 2.5 hours east to Akagera National Park. Stop for photos along scenic landscapes and rolling hills. Check in to your lodge and enjoy dinner with views of the park. Overnight at Akagera lodge.
After breakfast, embark on a full day game drive. Explore open savannahs, wetlands, and forests, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes. Have lunch at a lodge or picnic site. In the late afternoon, take a boat cruise on Lake Ihema to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Early morning game drive for the best chance to see predators and active wildlife. After breakfast, check out from the lodge and drive back to Kigali. Optional stop at local communities along the way for cultural interaction. End of the safari.
